Brian and Connor decided to establish Lavery Mitchell after having worked together for over 15 years in a Belfast based chartered surveyors and estate agents practice. With both being from the Mid Ulster area, it seemed only right to establish a base in Magherafelt so they could utilise their “local boys” knowledge of this area to complement their significant professional experience in the Belfast and wider Northern Ireland property markets. They take pride in their enduring professional relationship, which is secondary only to their even longer friendship. Brian has over 20 years' experience working in the Northern Ireland property market. He graduated with a BSc Hons in Estate Management, initially working in residential sales, before making the move to become a Chartered Valuation Surveyor with one of Belfast's leading Estate Agent and Surveyor practices. Entering as a graduate surveyor, he climbed the ladder to manager and director of the Survey Department.
Brian has significant experience in the acquisition of property, both on and off market, for a range of clients including private individuals, developers, and government organisations. Locations range from areas of social deprivation and urban regeneration to multimillion pound development sites. Brian's extensive experience includes valuations and surveys of residential properties and lands for a wide spectrum of clients including local banks, major lending institutions, accountants, government bodies, legal professionals and housing associations.
His professional qualifications include BSc (Hons) Estate Management; Election to the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors & Full Member of RICS; Domestic Energy Assessor for Domestic Property (Dip DEA); Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors Valuer Registration Scheme (RICS Registered Valuer - April 2011)
Connor has over 15 years' experience working in the Northern Ireland property market. Having graduated from University of Ulster in 2008 with a degree in Housing Management. Connor was employed by one of Belfast's leading Estate Agents and has specialised in the Residential Lettings and Property Management sector.
Connor has gained vast experience from working in this role and has dealt with a wide range of clients from landlords with individual properties to clients with large portfolios. Offering a work ethic and dedication to each client is what he takes pride in. Connor believes that taking time to understand clients' specific needs and their desired outcomes is essential in maintaining and building healthy professional relationships. His additional industry experience involves working in Block Management, including setting up a management company from inception to chairing Annual General Meetings (AGM's) and managing annual budgets and maintenance programmes.
His professional qualifications include BSc Hons Housing Management; Diploma in Industrial Studies.
